A great study that shows the benefits of appropriate testosterone therapy actually decreases the risk of coronary artery disease and improves lifespan.  It is not too late to start treatment as this test shows it doesn’t matter in men whether or not they had a history of previous MI or stroke who if they have low testosterone levels, hormone therapy is associated with decreased risks of heart attacks, ischemic stroke, and all-cause mortality in long-term follow-up. This study also highlights that testosterone replacement therapy should aim for doses resulting in normalization of testosterone level as this was shown to be associated with reduction in adverse CV events.   Appropriate physician monitoring is necessary to achieve these levels.  If you are interested in seeing if hormone replacement therapy is of value to you, consider reaching out to Elan Medical.
